J.W. Rinzler’s “Making of Star Wars” Digitally Enhanced Books!

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited about these re-releases of J.W. “Rinzler’s Making of series” published by LucasBooks and Del Rey. I’m staying up tonight after midnight in hopes it downloads to my Kindle app on my iPad around that time. I have no idea if in fact it will be up at that time, but I’m hoping.

These books are definitively the best Star Wars publications of all time as far as I’m concerned. But why the extra excitement? Because these digitally enhanced versions of the books not only contain additional photos not released in the physical copies but they pretty much contain a bonus disc worth of content that could have been on the Blu-ray or DVD releases:

I already own these books in hard back but I’m looking forward to the digital copies because of the added content, not to mention the size will be more manageable. This is a series where the photographs are important but the text is equally as important. For me, a guy that runs a site called “Making Star Wars,” having J.W. Rinzler’s “Making of” series in digital format is more than welcome. I cannot wait for tonight or tomorrow if I fall asleep or they don’t pop up at midnight.

I’m spending the weekend in the hospital as our son, Luke, is coming this Friday. I’m looking forward to meeting Luke and when he’s crashed out, re-reading these books again and uncovering all the new data revealed about the making of a movie series called “Star Wars” you might have heard about.

Now, if they would just write Episode I, II, and III editions in this format. Even more so, I hope we get Episode VII in this format too.

The iPad is being charged up as I write this! Late tonight or tomorrow should be fun. I can’t wait to see what they have added to these books!
