MakingStarWars.net Exclusive Part II
Earlier this week we reported on an upcoming Star Wars themed breakfast being held for George Lucas, classic Star Wars cast members and Disney executives. We have some follow up information. First things first, the team at MakingStarWars.net is not promising you any Star Wars: Episode VII announcements. We are hearing lots of things about them, but there is no conclusive link to this breakfast and Star Wars: Episode VII. It appears to be a level above coincidence, but there is no evidence beyond the shadow of a doubt. At this precise moment, we can only confirm to you that the breakfast itself is happening. Hopefully in future updates we can provide more details and evidence about the Star Wars Executive Breakfast.
We are saying this special executive breakfast is taking place today. Because it is.
The breakfast is important and most likely is to celebrate something related to the development of Star Wars: Episode VII. Our sources believe this to be the case, but they do not know for sure. We personally would find it weird if George Lucas and some of the original trilogy cast showed up to an announcement about theme park development or something to do with products and toys. Feel free to disagree with us.
The amended facts as we have been told by various disparate sources:
- Disney will host a Star Wars executive breakfast this Thursday, April 24th at 8am.
- George Lucas will be in attendance.
- Original Trilogy Star Wars film actors will be in attendance.
- The VIP event will be for about 100 people (I think it was 50 people with a guest).
- The menu will be Star Wars themed.
- Only top executives from Disney are attending, not just executives from Disney Parks.
- The event will be held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida at the Sci-Fi Dine-In.
- Some of this food will also be served for Star Wars Weekends, but the first time it will be served will be at this executive breakfast, today, April 24th. It will start “May 4th, and be used for 45 consecutive days afterward” for non-executives.
Our friend Eric Geller was told a Star Wars breakfast was not being held:

Tonight, a Lucasfilm spokesperson has categorically denied that this event is taking place.
Let it be noted that Eric was just reporting the facts as he understood them from an unnamed Lucasfilm spokesperson.
@Momotaros_KP @Jedi_Alba To be clear, LFL did deny the entire breakfast event.

Some have made it seem like there was tension between TFN and MSW. That’s not the case at all. It is more like we’re two detectives on the same case, Harrelson and McConaughey (I call McConaughey!). True Star Wars Detective is our new showing coming to TLC. Okay, that last part is a total lie.
When we told our sources about the reported denial via TheForce.net stating the event was not taking place, our sources responded “yes, it is.” They were firm. No one shifted things around to make it make sense. They just kind of laughed and said unless it was canceled it is happening.
Sorry to be vague on this next bit, but we also saw other people working the event excited to serve George Lucas and other cast members at the breakfast. So I can factually tell you these people believe this event it taking place and they are not even our sources for this information. I personally saw people gushing via social media. I am not going to endanger those people’s identities or share their words, so please do not ask us to.
On Wednesday we received images proving the breakfast was taking place. Food was being prepped for the breakfast dessert menu. We received this plate, with a Star Wars logo written in chocolate. How classy is that?
One source knew how much we loved the Yoda dessert. So they showed us the result:
After seeing these images, we were convinced. I cannot explain why there was a denial. I do not believe there was a conspiracy to hide the truth or anything like that. I doubt there are men in a smokey room conspiring against Star Wars fans. Most likely, the denial is the result of miscommunication. I do not mean to disrespect anyone’s word at Lucasfilm, a company I passionately love and admire as a fan, but we are seeing evidence to the contrary here.
Very early in the morning for us west coasters, we received these images before the breakfast was to begin. If you still do not believe the breakfast is taking place, I don’t know how we can convince you. There are other parts to this story I can never post without endangering our sources. I am not going to do that. At this juncture, this is what we can show you.
As you can clearly see, our Yoda parfait is on the table, with Stormtroopers at the Sci-Fi Dine-In as Disney Hollywood Studios.
As you can not-so-clearly see here, Jawas (seedy creatures) are in place and ready to greet their special guests:
Here you can see here, Greedo is watching the screen as technicians test out the footage that is to be played for the guests at the executive breakfast, looks Star Wars related:
Here are the dishes that will be served as we showed you in the first update:
That concludes are coverage of this “Dewbackle” known as “breakfastgate.” I believe we have done the most within our capabilities to back up what we had been hearing. Now, lets eat breakfast! I’m going to open up that box of See-Threepios from 1984 and give it a whirl.
Hopefully there will be more to come!
Update 1:45pm April 24th.
The facts we have so far.
- All the executives that were invited made it.
- The event lasted from 8am-11:30am.
- VIPS were sitting outside which made it hard for some staff to see them.
- We are still waiting on some sources about the rumored guests beyond Disney Executives.
Darth Vader has left the building.
