Possible information about Gwendoline Christie’s role in Star Wars: Episode VII!

Badass Digest updates with some elements that may tell us what Gwendoline Christie’s role is in Star Wars: Episode VII. It builds upon the rumor we posted that John Boyega is a Stormtrooper who deserted the Empire. Well apparently, this might be something Christie’s character is not happy about:

According to my sources Gwendoline Christie is playing John Boyega’s commanding officer in Star Wars Episode VII, and she’s mad that he deserted. She’s looking for him. She’s an antagonist.

Cumberbatch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that’s part one. A guy role had been given to a woman, according to my source. Part two is that I’m hearing Christie is playing an Imperial officer. Part three is this: remember when we were hearing that Benedict Cumberbatch was in talks for the movie? That he was going to be a villain? His part was to be an Imperial officer.

Sounds reasonable and likely to me.

I like the idea that Christie is after Boyega’s character too, it gives him a certain Han Solo quality in a way.
