Star Wars Rebels Storyboard Artists Nominated for an Annie Award

The 42nd Annual Annie Awards recently released the nominations list for accomplishments in animation during 2014. Last year, Jason W.A. Tucker, who worked on more than 100 episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, was nominated for the “Editorial in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production” category. Keith Kellogg, animation supervisor of Star Wars Rebels, was also nominated for an Annie Award last year in the “Character Animation in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production” category.

The 41st Annie Awards also presented Windsor McCay Awards to Steven Spielberg and Phil Tippett, an award that recognizes their contributions to the art of animation.

This year, Star Wars Rebels storyboard artists Nathaniel Villanueva and Douglas Lovelace are both nominated for “Outstanding Achievement, Storyboarding in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production”.

Villanueva and Lovelace worked on Spark of Rebellion, the one-hour movie special written by Simon Kinberg.
