Star Wars: Rogue One secured for IMAX release.

Variety is reporting that IMAX and Disney have struck a deal meaning PIXAR, Lucasfilm, and Marvel films will have IMAX releases. While this news is kind of a given, sometimes these deals fallout even though they seem like a logical win for both parties. Thankfully here that is not the case and we will be watching Lucasfilm productions on huge screens. That is good news for Star Wars: Rogue One.

Variety writes:

The multi-picture deal begins this year and extends through 2017, and includes such hotly-anticipated films as the seventh “Star Wars” picture and the stand-alone film “Rogue One,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Doctor Strange” and “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.”

I have a feeling after we see the incredible IMAX sequence from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, most Star Wars fans are going to be very happy we’re getting not just more big screen Star Wars  but HUGE screen Star Wars.

As always, I have to say this is an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan.

Thanks to Andrew for the heads up!
