Simon Pegg: James Bond Is a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Remember the rumors that James Bond, Daniel Craig, filmed a secret role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens?  Well apparently Simon Pegg, everyone’s favorite Dengar from The Clone Wars, let it slip that Craig is in fact in the film as a Stormtrooper.

According to The Washington Post, Pegg confirmed the role while attending a premiere in London:

Speaking to The Sun newspaper at the premiere of ‘Man Up’ in London, he said: “I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper.”

Realising his mistake, he quickly admitted: “I shouldn’t have said that.”

It’s well documented that Pegg is good friends with The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, and in fact has been rumored to have a role in the film himself.

I doubt either rumor, if true, impacts the overall film very much.  Star Wars has the unique advantage of having so many masked characters that you could fill half the cast with friends and nobody would know.

The real question is: do these new Stormtroopers like their martinis shaken, not stirred?
