Video of Riz Ahmed’s many Star Wars: Rogue One auditions

Ashley Crossan at ET  posted a pretty cool video of Riz Ahmed over-auditioning for the part of Bodhi Rook in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Riz expresses his enthusiasm for the part and how he had so many different angles for approaching the character that he kept on e-mailing director Gareth Edwards.

The video:

I love when he looks like a real-world pirate in one take. I’m still bummed Bodhi died in Rogue One. I think he was one of the strongest actors and character concepts in a modern Star Wars film so far. It is pretty neat to see an audition video in this era of Star Wars that’s pretty tight on documentaries and behind-the-scenes moments. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Rogue One extras tomorrow!
