Abrams: Star Wars VII Casting Announcements Coming Soon, Filming in May!

USA Today spoke to Star Wars Episode VII director, J.J. Abrams. In the last two days, Abrams has been rather forthcoming with plans regarding Star Wars Episode VII. In a piece published yesterday, Abrams confirmed the script for the film was completed and he was speaking to Plemons about a role in the film.

Now today, Abrams has dropped some more about filming in May 2014:

“That’s the current plan. We have our script and we’re full steam ahead. Have script, will travel.

When asked about the casting process, Abrams said:

..soon, and I look forward to that so that we can get past it and we can get on with it.

Yes, we in the Star Wars fandom are eagerly awaiting to “get on with it” and “get past it.” Daily we are navigating rumors of actors who have read for parts, actors said to be cast already, and CUMBERBATCH! So yes, lets get past it!

That’s very exciting news. It does sound like now that the script is, all the pieces are in place and we the little people will begin to get morsels of information we are dying to hear.

I cannot wait.
