Matt McGloin at is reporting that Yoda is in Star Wars: Episode VII. The ghost of Yoda appears to Luke Skywalker and they explain why:
We’re told that Yoda will have words with Luke Skywalker about a rising unbalance in the force and the need to preserve the Jedi.
I believe it should state “a rising imbalance in the Force.” Is this enough to not take it seriously? That’s for you to decide. I’m the typo king, so I’m not one to judge. But the usage being incorrect makes me think this wasn’t something that was actually overheard and got out. On one hand, in a game of telephone grammar, semantics might jump straight out the window. On the other hand, if quoted verbatim, it sounds less than credible.
It’s said it wouldn’t be anything major, but would be in a background sequence featuring holograms of Yoda, Alec McGuiness as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu as well as others.
Oh, that isn’t anything major? Just classic Jedi showing up in the new film. But “McGuiness?” Are you joking? Do you mean to run Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness together or is this just another telltale sign this report is more than bogus?
It seems possible Yoda would show up as a ghost in the new films. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility. I’m just not really convinced by this report and I don’t know anything aboutto say one way or the other. But there’s enough wrong with this report I’m not buying it. I’m simply reporting the rumor because if it gets traction, it is important we remember from where it sprang forth.
