Bob Iger confirms Episode VII timeline, return of ‘familiar faces’, Shoots in May

Variety confirmed some huge Star Wars news from Disney’s annual Shareholder’s meeting and casually dropped a bomb on us regarding Star Wars: Episode VII.

“Star Wars: Episode 7′ will take place 30 years after the events of ‘Return of the Jedi’ and will follow a trio of young characters and some familiar faces”

Bob Iger Points out that they will begin filming in May and that the only confirmed character is R2-D2 and that it is still too early to say anything else than “it looks amazing”. Note that this is the first Star Wars film to begin principle photography in the month of May.
