I’m a little late on this one. I’ve been dealing with Star Wars Rebels information all day.
Kellvin Chavez at Latino Review reports:
Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher’s daughter is in “Star Wars: Episode VII.” We don’t know what part it is (could be a cameo).
We know she has been on the set and has been tweeted about hanging out with principal actors in Star Wars: VII in which she strangely listed the yet unnamed Maisey Richardson-Sellers as one of the people hanging out with them… At this point, I think it is safe to say the role is probably a cameo or a smaller role.
The question at this point is Billie Lourd a gloried extra or was she given a role since she was going to be on set with her mother anyways?
I imagine in the coming week we will hear about Richardson-Sellers and Rian Johnson. If Lourd is in a small part, they might promote it for PR, it’s a great story that Fisher’s daughter is in the film. But I wouldn’t imagine it would be an announced casting if the role is tiny or she’s just an extra.
Edit: Lillian makes a good point about something that was swept under the rug during a busy news week:
Why did everyone flip over the news about Fisher's daughter? Boyega's dad is going to be involved in VII in some way..soono big deal really.
