Domhnall Gleeson Talks About Star Wars: Episode VII

Writer, director and actor Domhnall Gleeson, primarily known for his role as Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, spoke with HuffPost Live about his latest film Frank as well as his upcoming role in Star Wars: Episode VII.

A fan question combined the worlds of Harry Potter and Star Wars, “Which Harry Potter character do you think would do best in the Star Wars universe?” To which he answered, “Probably somebody who’s evil, like Draco Malfoy.”
With Star Wars up in the air, Gleeson began to briefly talk about that, “I’m so nervous I’m going to give something away, so I just get a far away look in my eyes and try and remain calm.”

He went on to describe the contract (which nobody reads, he joked) and a sheet with a list of things he’s allowed to talk about during interviews. The page was, of course, empty. He laughed it off and clarified that you’re allowed to talk about how excited you are to be in the movie, and that’s it. Gleeson also complimented J.J. Abrams, continued to touch on how he signed on, the cast photo, and his reaction to the call he received about the part.

The segment with Star Wars starts at 8:25.

Gleeson also talked with ComingSoon.net, though, he didn’t say much there either. For the entire interview, click here.
