Star Wars: The Clone Wars

“Star Wars: The Clone Wars Legacy” Revealed

Star Wars: The Clone Wars came to an end during the spring of 2013, leaving the core community saddened by its unexpected cancellation. The shift and focus changed towards the new era of Star Wars and many great things have happened since then, including the reveal of the new Star Wars: Episode VII cast and the development of Star Wars Rebels.

Despite the cancellation, the crew of Lucasfilm have always kept the community of TCW fans in mind while attempting to move forward. The evidence first came in the form of a comic book series dedicated to the story of Darth Maul, known as Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir. Earlier this summer at San Diego Comic-Con, we witnessed the announcement of a new Del Rey Books novel focused on Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos.

Today, Lucasfilm now shares with the community “Star Wars: The Clone Wars Legacy,” a new look at unfinished material. Discover behind-the-scenes content and full (undeveloped) story reels, entitled “Crystal Crisis on Utapau.” The order of the episodes are: “A Death on Utapau,” “In Search of the Crystal,” “Crystal Crisis,” and “The Big Bang.” The arc is preceded by an introduction video with Dave Filoni.

Included in the new announcement are galleries of concept art for Son of Dathomir, Crystal Crisis on Utapau, and the new novel with Ventress and Vos, entitled “Dark Disciple.” The novel is set to debut during the summer of 2015.
