Star Wars: The Force Awakens PSA Rumor Dump! Take it or leave it!

What to do? On the next episode of Now, This is Podcasting! I wanted to do a type of analysis on a lot of rumors from one source that we can’t get verified. I was going to sit on this material until the one thing I’m waiting for becomes available. The ultimate weapon that will be crush false rumors once and for all (not the script). That’s not far off. But these rumors are starting to swirl in other places.

I was sent around 10 emails from someone this week. Some of their stuff sounded cool and other stuff sent up red flags.

The source lied to me about his name and then accidentally emailed me with his real name. Shortly after that he packed up and ceased our correspondence. Was it because he wanted to do this under the cover of anonymity? Or did someone attempting a hoax screw up?

Just in case by some chance they are legit, I have edited out a few places where they seem to reveal some details about placement. Other than that, I’m not fixing spelling errors or typos. Just understand that while “Rey” is spelled every way under the twin suns of Tatooine possible, that doesn’t rule someone out. The guy doing the drywall on the bathroom at Pinewood might not people’s names and how to write all that well, but he sure as hell can be informative (similar things have happened and I appreciate it). All that said, this person didn’t provide me with anything like the normal sources do. I’m sharing it because this info has started to turn up other places in tiny doses. So here’s the massive dump of it. You can decide if its legit when holistically placed together. Some of it lines up well and some of it contradicts things I firmly believe to know rightly.

I know some guy on some message board is going accuse me of wanting the hits and that’s why I posted this. That’s far from the case. I don’t care. What I do care about is the truth about the film because I want to know everything. I’m like Spalko at the end of Indy IV, I want to know. False information just muddles things. I don’t want to see this turning up on other sites over the next weeks if its a hoax. Taken one piece at a time, it sounds cool. But there are things that seem, well, off to be honest. I probably wasn’t going to run it until I had more things that lined up with it. Since elements are popping up elsewhere, lets just get it over with.

Enjoy, believe, scoff, rebuke, whatever, here it is:

Luke Skywalker – Luke is in hiding during much of TFA. He has put himself in a self imposed exile and is protecting an ancient sith tomb from being opened by the main bad guy, Kylo Ren. What lies in this tomb is an Ancient Sith Lord who may turn out to be Darth Plagues The Wise. Luke, it is revealed, has been experiencing severe mental torture whilst protecting this tomb by ghosts of the past, present and future and he is very unstable as we meet him. His power is terrifying to both himself and what it could mean for the future of the galaxy. There is talk that Kylo Ren knows how to unlock this tomb as he has self trained himself in the ways of the Sith without the need of a master. It is not mentioned how long Luke has been watching this tomb but it is implied it has been a few years against the better judgement of his friends. Luke isn’t crazy so to speak but he has felt the damaging effects this exile has had on him.

Han Solo – Han has the lions share of work to do on TFA and it can be said Fords portrayal is closer to ANH/ESB than ROTJ. His arc sets things in motion by being the person who brings Rey, Finn and Poe into the mix. It is true that a simple lightsaber leads the trio to Han but what isn’t mentioned is that Han is extremely reluctant to allow his daughter to be part of this plan. The scene in the trailer of the falcon is Han piloting the gang of the planet after Imperials target them because Poe and Rae help break Finn free of the empire. It is a fact that Han does die in the movie and his death is poignant but amazing. There will be sad eyes come December. I’ve heard that Luke kills Han at his request to save a loved one.

Finn: It is revealed that the Empire have rebuilt their forces through forced enlisting into their ranks despite ability. Finn’ family were murdered by the empire and he was caught and enlisted. He absolutely hates the Empire and is a pacifist. There is a scene which shows him trying to shoot a blaster and he is awful – it’s a little in-joke about how inept Storm Troopers were in the OT. Finn and Poe end up in an imperial brig after being caught. Poe dislikes Finn at first but Finn, an extremely likeable character, pleads with Poe and Rae to get him off the ship. Rae sees his plight and they both agree to steal a TIE FIGHTER. Rae shows how like a solo she is and manages to coerce a simple minded trooper into conversation and ends up stealing a key card.

The brig escape is pure fun – Old School SW much like the detention block escape. It is fast paced, funny as hell but you feel the odds against them. Finn and co steal an advanced TIE and unfortunately it crashes, injuring Finn. Rae helps both Poe and Finn escape by hiding them in her speeder and they travel to see Max Von Sydo in a seedy cantina. Finn shows promise when he uses the lightsaber to deflect some blaster shots. Rae says something about finding his calling.

MAX VON SYDOW: – I don’t know this characters name but he plays a watcher to Rae at the request of Solo. A former Rebel Alliance veteran now dealing in antiquities – very much like a SW version of Brody from Indiana Jones. It turns out that Rae has a lightsaber which holds information vital to the rebellion and this is hidden inside BB-8. Rae is not aware of this and only through the watcher do we understand the significance of it. It is revealed the weapon, Uncle Lukes, has a crystal in it that unlocks the tomb in the castle. This crystal is the main mcguffin of TFA.

RAE: This is Han and Leias daughter. Her real name is revealed through Han Solo much to the surprise of Finn and Poe. Rae is resourceful, humourous but is scared of being part of a force family. Uncle Luke was trying to guide her to being a jedi but she refused. Poe catches her using the force to move something in her workshop but doesn’t mention it.

Solo appears at the Cantina with Chewbacca and Rae expresses her anger at being asked to protect this weapon. Solo explains that it was necessary for her to use an alias and to be on the outer rim to avoid ties to her uncle. He says sorry for not telling her the significance but is thankful. Rae expresses frustration at the watcher who was in on the ruse.

POE: Poe is this trilogies Han – he is a cocky, foolish but brilliant pilot. Rae is in love with him which frustrates Han. Han sees Dameron as his younger self and is slightly annoyed that he is now an older cocky man. Poe is on the planet with Rae and she is fixing his X-Wing. It is revealed that he has strong feelings for Rae. He respects Han too much to act on them. There is a bit of jealousy from Finn as he too likes Rae but she treats him like a kid.

When we see Kylo Ren in the forest in the trailer, his pose and movement indicate he is injured. This scene takes place After solo dies and he is chasing Rey, Luke and Finn into the forest. They are heading towards Poe and the Falcon.

Ren receives damage in a battle with Luke. At the request of Hans dying words, Luke spares Ren and escapes with the others. What follows is a battle between an untrained Finn and Rey after Ren manages to separate then from Luke. Luke is beaten and is unable to aid them. The fight shows that Ren isn’t as prominent a fighter as he wants to be and ultimately is on an even footing with Rey in ability. Finn tries hard to help but ultimately turns to get Luke on the falcon.

Ren is the son of Han and Leia and therefore brother to Rey. It is said that Ren, Adam Driver, has been obsessed with his lineage for a few years and is somewhat an historian with a fascination with the Sith. he is a pilot with the alliance but you will see that he is quite twisted. He sabotaged Poes X wing at some point prior to the opening scenes and this resulted with Poe being on the same planet with Rey. He is arrogant and cares little for his parents or siblings as he wants to be as powerful as his grandfather, Darth Vader. Facts are vague but it will be revealed that there is bad blood between this man and his family.

The Stormtroopers in TFA are given more of a humanity to them. A few actors/extras were given lines and we see troopers sans helmets in a few scenes. They definitely aren’t clones here! There is a Weequay and Rodian trooper in one scene in a hanger bay plus female ST. A scene described to me involved an Imperial commander belittling an alien.

TFA features a scene involving limb loss. The character is said to provoke a main character and Chewbacca basically pulls their arm out of its socket.

The re- introduction of Luke Skywalker is meant to be iconic.  Having seen a play by play of the scene, my source said this:

” Luke is huddled against a wall, he is looking at an approaching figure. We don’t see his face at all and his body is hidden by the dark, we see various flashes of his hood is over his head and the light only shows his grey beard. Someone says “Luke?”. He is startled and cowers to his knees. we are shown his robotic hand, sans glove, with a burn mark exposing the robotic components. An arm reaches out to try and grasp his light sabre which is a few inches away on the floor. The light sabre is smoking. Luke struggles for it and we hear a disembodied voice say “You’ve failed, Skywalker. Have you felt it? Your struggle with the darkside and the light “. We hear the first vocals from Luke and his words staggered and stuttered. He tries to stand but a cackle makes him cower again. He is further goaded by this voice before he hears a familiar voice and stands up and pushes his hood back much like obi wan kenobi did when he first saw Luke in ANH. This is our first proper look at Luke. This Luke is wizened but crazed, his eyes twitch and are bloodshot, his robe is tattered, ripped and his beard is scraggy and his hair grey and long. Luke walks down a few steps and his looking at the tomb. The disembodied voice says ” You will fail, Skywalker”. Luke falls to his knees and screams out with arms outstretched. A tremor reduces a wall partition to rubble and the voice laughs louder. ” They will all die. I am your only choice”. Luke uses a statue to pull himself up and he begs the voice to stop. He has no fight left. Luke uses the force to grab his weapon and he ignites it this time the glow of his green sabre fully shows us a classic glimpse of an older Luke.  We then hear footsteps and the ignition of a second light sabre, a red glow appearing in a pool of water near the tomb.

Just to add to my previous message some lines of dialogue from the shooting

“Are you still relying on that ancient religion?”

“We can play this game once we figure out a way to not getting killed!

” hey, the grunt can’t hold that thing let alone use it!”

“ain’t no use to a dead man, Finn”

Email 5:

Hi Jason, not much has been said about Leia in TFA but this is about to change.

in TFA we first meet Leia at a hideout for Rebels. This is the Greenham common set. She certainly does wear an outfit similar to the Tantive fleet troops.

Leia is not a politician but a republic martyr in hiding from the Empire at the insistence of the senate. She is in hiding with the last numbers of the rebel alliance who we learn have been beaten with no real hope of stopping a newly growing empire.

There are traitors within her own group.

Both the empire and the rebellion are trying to build super weapons. What we learn in a beautiful scene with Leia and the Hutts is that crime lords are funding the construction of the rebels defence of the empire in exchange for leniency with the senate who will turn a blind eye to their criminal actions and ultimately protect them from the empire.

The rebels share an uneasy alliance with criminal groups with Han Solo acting as a go between with a dangerous group of bounty hunters.

The Reublic Senate and the Empire aren’t one and the same. The Empire wasn’t truly defeated after the battle of Endor and many splinter groups are in abundance but controlled by a master imperial order.  Storm troopers are a mix of human and alien races.

Email 6:

Hi Jason, to clarify recent reports:

There are two super weapons in TFA. The empire weapon is not a planet but a super extreme Star Destroyer, the largest vessel in the imperial fleet. Do you remember the seismic charges Jango used on Obi Wan in AOTC? Well this SESD has a weapon on it than can effectively split a planet in two. There is a scene in IMAX  which will demonstrate this, it launchs a bomb that basically sends shockwaves through the core and splits it. It’s supposed to look amazing.

The Rebels are building a weapon that acts as an EMT which basically once activated will shut down any imperial ships and effectively crash them. You may have seen concept art of downed star destroyers, well this was a result of this weapon being used.

However, the device that controls this weapon has fallen into wrong hands and getting it back involves our heroes and a rogue imperial.

The super extreme star destroyer houses the Gleeson character who is trying to sabotage the imperial weapon.

Ultimately the weapon is used on the Sith homeworld.

Email 7:

The pirate cove does house rebels but also a rag-tag group of smugglers, hunters and refugees. Their is a common goal for all involved and that is beating the empire. One of the smugglers is a character named Botep, he’s described as humanoid but his torso is stationed on a droid with spider-like legs. It isn’t revealed how he came to be this way but he is distrustful of the rebels and blames them for the current state of things. Another is called Aldro, a female alien who is feisty and good with a blaster. She is slim build, wears a jump suit like Bossk but it is green. She has a hood which she wears over her head and has goggles on her face. The googles are white with a mesh like lens. She has a few lines with Han and refers to Chewie as “The Rug”. There is a small character believed to be called ” Fitch” who is a mechanic and helps Chewie repair the damaged Falcon. Fitch and Chewie have a scene together which is similar to Artoo and Yoda, playful and very funny. Fitch is part Cgi and animatronic.

Email 8:

GW plays the lead Shock Trooper and she commands a huge ship called in the production notes ” Imperial Hand”. She wears a chrome armoured suit which can cloak itself for stealth missions – this ability is used twice in the move. Her character is said to be ” demeaning to peers, arrogant, viscious and fearless. She uses a light saber also and is heavily skilled in hand-to-hand combat. She kills 2 Jedi Padawans in the movie whilst searching for both Finn and Rae. “Once beautiful now grotesque” heavily scarred face and military hair cut. “Battle hardened – an elite killer”.

DG – This will shock people but this character is an Imperial Cadet and the son of the huge character. A deserter of the Alliance after finding out they are constructing a super weapon to irradicate the empire before they can use their own weapon. Effectively turning the rebel alliance into the empire by default. DG plans to inflitrate and destroy the weapon from within.

Email 9:

It is going to be a revelation that Gleeson is related to Luke for sure. However, we will learn that the character isn’t as wholesome as his father and will ruffle a lot of feathers in the process. This Tarkin rumour is bogus – DG is not Tarkin but there DEFINATELY is a tarkin in the movie. JJ & Kasden are desperate to move away from making the galaxy seem too small as the prequals did so whilst there is a character who is related to Tarkin, it won’t be anything major. There are a lot of strands in this movie which tie into the wider picture. For instance, there is a slight reference to the Lost Twenty and the fall of the Jedi Order. Kylo Ren is obsessed with history and you will see that he is very knowledgable about the secrets the Jedi Order had and how the sith play into it.

There is no mention of any mother of the gleeson character and luke doesn’t reference her.

So there you have it. The future’s yours so make it a good one!

Obiwan was a crazed ol Hermit, Yoda was a crazed ol Hermit (degobah), and now Luke will be the crazed ol Hermit. I am expecting to see Ghost Yoda in some form during the new movie.

  • Denny Smith

If this is true, I hope we do eventually find out that Luke was with Mara Jade and DG’s character is their son. Gleeson has red hair, doesn’t he?

  • letlive

Maybe Andy Serkis is the ancient sith lord. He wasn’t mentioned

  • El Julion

hmmm… hope most of these plot details are true! it seems like a very interesting history! there’s definitely something fun about the characters names.. Leia and Luke are brothers names… maybe Kyra and Kylo?

  • Zelmanzoldyck

My dream is that Boba Fett will reappear 0.0 There is so much potential for him and I highly doubt he died in the sarlacc, it’s too much of a pathetic death for one of the most feared bounty hunters.

  • lupegaru

It’s a good read, something to fill some time before the movies is released. I don’t know how much is true, and it doesn’t really matter to me. When I’m sitting in the theater, and the lights go down, everything I’ve read beforehand will be forgotten.
I have been wondering though, if Lupita Nyongo will be a Calrissian?

  • James R

Hmm. Sounds like a re-hash of existing rumors – note how they can’t name other new characters fully who haven’t been officially named yet, or give us Finn’s full name? It also shows a bold familiarity with SW lore that leads me to say: these writings are almost certainly a fanboy’s fevered dream, and not the works of a set drywaller.

  • Alex

Don’t even care if these rumors are fake. Still fun to read.

  • cyncus1 .

Ok sounds good to be honest. But if if the rumors are true and Luke has become more powerful than the force then how the hell can he be defeated by Ren as mentioned. If Luke has become all powerful then any army could not stop him, yet alone a freaking Sith wannabe!!!! Hope some of this stuff is true and hope some of it is not.

    • Alex

From the sound of it Luke is half-crazed and Ren has Vader blood in him. Easy enough.

      • Arrowind

From this is looks as though Klyo Ren and Rae are the fromer Star Wars EU, Jacen and Jaina with Dohmnall being the former Ben Skywalker.

  • David Jenson

I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of this was part of a disinformation campaign, but it’s quite elaborate none the less

  • jfmgunner

Worth noting that his plot strings together almost all the older rumors with some fleshed out ideas that anyone could have invented (emp, large ss destroyer etc), no new truly new information that expands our knowledge of the plot, he just fills in some details with admittedly cool deduction. Particularly like the rebels being funded by the hutts. The compromises of war could certainly disillusion DG’s character

  • irondarwin

No mention of Lupita Nyongo’s role? I’d assumed she was more than a cameo. Also, who do we know that could be a veteran of the Clone Wars and Rebellion? Cody? Could this role originally have been written for Dennis Lawson/Wedge Antilles? He’s a vet who owed Solo a favor. When Lawson said no, maybe they reworked the character a bit.

  • Duey2000

I’m not buying it. You really think they’re gonna kill Han Solo in Act I of the new trilogy? First of all, I don’ think that that would be Abram’s style at all. Furthermore, I think that it is a little too much fan service to make Ren and Rey the Solo twins. I guess I’ll believe it when I see it.

The fact your are shocked by Han dying is exactly why it will happen. He had a long life, and the spoiler reveals a replacement for him in a younger character that reminds Han of himself. Classic inevitable death setup when a younger you is in the movie.

      • jfmgunner

Oscar Issac is a hugely talented actor. After his movie A Most Violent Year I have to say there is no young actor that has impressed me more with presence, calm confidence and amazing talent without needing to go all method and chew the scenery as they say. An amazing choice to be the “new Han”. Although he is so good I doubt this will be an impression of Han. He will make this character his own and I predict he will be the new cult figure of this trilogy.

    • The gray side…

Han was going to be killed in ROTH but the idea was canceled because “Dead men don’t sell action figures”. Back in the 90 ‘ s Ford said he would only return if Han dies. Makes sense…

    • Ryan

Killing off Han makes sense considering Ford’s relationship with the character. He and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan championed for a self-sacrificial death in ROTJ, but Lucas turned them down. Heck, one of the reasons Han was frozen in carbonite was because no one knew if Ford was returning for another sequel (he was only contracted for two films). Maybe Ford’s opinion has softened but more likely he only signed for one film with the stipulation that Han dies. Lawrence Kasdan is also co-writer on TFA.

  • DynamckMAD

Ok, this sounds F**KING AWESOME!!! Kinda wish I hadn’t read all the way through but so hard to resist

  • Nat

It seems that the majority of this has already surfaced on the ‘net, either here at MSW or at the big rumour dump at Reddit in December ?

    • Nat

… Having said that, I’d hope that Luke’s robotic hand would have been repaired since ROTJ, and if it was damaged now, then it would surely have to be from a more recent injury !!

  • Hector Lizard

Oh and then who could be that full robotic hooded android if not Driver and not Serkis’ character? Maybe the rumored Serkis second role?

  • Commodore H. McCringleberry

Seems to me that a lightsaber crystal opening a tomb and Luke going off to guard against someone getting ahold of it and showing up is a dumb. Perhaps, with whatever the ‘Awakening’ going on happens to be, it would make more sense for Luke to go there to keep it closed. All of the darkside spirit torture and losing self control rumors make way more sense if he’s trying to keep something IN rather than allowing someone else to roll by and let something OUT.

    • jfmgunner

Could it be both? Luke, by going to the cave to prevent the Sith from escaping, would draw the attention of whatever apprentice he was in contact with, who would then go to destroy Luke, thus allowing the Sith free path of escape. Then it would be semantics if he escaped or was released.

    • JustSumDude

And if Ren really is Rey’s twin, Luke trained him and he is betraying Luke to open the tomb and let the Sith loose….. this actually kinda works. Especially if Luke was unaware his nephew was turning to the dark side and that would explain Han dying at Luke’s hand because he sacrificed himself to save a relative (his son Ren). This could be good.

  • Stilluff Fogg

..Darth Plagueis the Wise isn’t an “Ancient Sith Lord”.. He’s been dead what, 50 years or less? Seems to make little sense, I can’t see Darth Sidious bothering to make him a tomb after slaughtering him in his sleep. Very, very few also knew who he was at all. He was known really as Hego Damask.

    • I too was thinking about the “ancient” part of the description. But it would be nice to tie in the story Sideous tells Anakin in ROS.

  • Lordtyphoon

Fun to read but probably 20% accurate at best. I don’t beleive that we’re going to see Darth plegueise because it will raise to much question like was’nt he dead before episode 3 at the hand of Sidious? Were was he during episode 4 5 6? It would be to complicate to make a beleivable story. Anyways this is fun to read but I don’t beleive it at all…

    • David James McCann

According to the story, Plaugeis was wise enough to “cheat death”…maybe he did so for himself in the end unbeknownst to Sidious.

      • JustSumDude

        Hey, Obi Wan did it.

  • JMan

I wonder if the Imperial oversight may come from a certain Grand Admiral? As they are keen in including many of the most successful aspects of the EU, like Jacen & Jaina, maybe this new Tarkin will be a nod to Thrawn?

  • GeekFurious

If this isn’t accurate, then they should go back and reshoot the movie because this is what it should be… and to those who call this “fan fiction,” I’ve never seen fan fiction even remotely as well structured. Sure, there are convenient elements to it, but those exist in ALL of the previous Star Wars movies. ANH is one of the most ridiculously conveniently plodded movies in the series. Everything has to line up perfectly for anything to happen. At least this way it seems like it’s been a plan… to line up… and not just something that happens by accident.

  • Lance

    Wow! That rocked the casbah!

    • idk lol

      And blew your mind..

  • This sounds great. I’d be very with this beginning to the new trilogy.

The main question on my mind is the name of the movie: The Force Awakens. If the title has meaning beyond just sounding cool, then we can reason that “The Force” has been asleep. Well, how long? Was it asleep in the PT, as Yoda and other Jedi feel their powers are becoming limited? If it was asleep during the PT and OT and perhaps long before that, then the metaphysical possibilities are pretty exciting. The Force is not merely an immutable law of nature – It has will, and, in that sense, personality. I truly hope that aside from a grand adventure, the “theology” of The Force is expanded on in these new movies.

    • jfmgunner

Great comment. Yoda’s theology on the force was always fascinating; broad, yes, but mysterious and mystical. The idea we could draw tangible strength from the creative power of the universe is amazing. Like you say, with that title, I expect the parameters and our understanding of the force to change drastically and to be wowed by some epic set pieces that demonstrate this “awakening” without the awkward clunkiness of the prequels.

  • James

Sounds a lot like I’ve already envisioned based upon the leaks. Once the character names were released, it was pretty obvious that Daisy and Adam were brother and Sister. Kyra Rey and Kylo Ren Solo. Since we’ve seen leaks of Ren’s Action figure, his clothes aren’t tattered but they are in the trailer so I could see him being injured. I also believe he isn’t a cyborg until the end of the movie because of his injuries much like his Grandfather so if this is true, it fits. The concept art of Ren holding Vader’s Helmet as a Cyborg is what I believe will be one of the final scenes of the film. 🙂

    • Nat

Hey… where did you hear about “Kyra” Rey ? Is that based on the production cover-name / real character name of Kira ? I had picked up on the “Rey” and “Ren” as siblings, but had inconveniently missed the “Kira Rey” to match the “Kylo Ren” !!!

      • James

I just assumed that’s what it is based upon what you stated about the production name. When the cards with the names were released that was the first thing I thought of Kyra Rey and Kylo Ren Solo, with the spelling changed to match. I figured this is kind of a nod to EU’s Jaina and Jacen. I could easily be wrong but this is how it looks to me. I visited a few discussion groups and Message boards, etc. about the same time and it turns out I wasn’t the only one that thought this. Quite a few have the same Idea. 🙂

      • JustSumDude

I had heard that before somewhere – maybe in the lore on Wookiepedia?

  • Bunk Clips

During one of the recent pod cast, you guys were discussing the “Cold War” theory… that makes a lot of sense to me regarding the two Death Stars.

  • Bunk Clips

The scenes with Luke sound awesome! And of course they are all related, busy family. I always figured that the next trilogy would be about the Solo/Skywalker kids. Sucks that Solo will kick the bucket but I have little doubt he will return in some form. But I think Im most looking forward to Kylo Ren. He lacks fighting experience and is a book worm for Sith/Jedi history!

  • Kareem

I don’t see much that you didn’t report here before…?

  • I’ve seen most of these informations in past rumors, both here and on sw7news.
Of course this might be because those rumors were referencing his emails, but it could also be him taking inspiration from them.
In the second case he would obviously be a liar, and just putting known rumors together to make a fascinating story, like Spoilerbro did on 4chan.

Also, he’s implying that what the trailer’s narrating voice says is extracted from a bigger sentence, which is:
“[You’ve failed, Skywalker]. Have you felt it? [Your struggle with] the Dark Side… and the Light.”
Well, if he was saying “with-the Dark Side…” I think it would be difficult to separate “with” from “the” in the audio editing process, because those words are normally spoken together, while in the trailer he seems to be saying “. The Dark Side…” as an independent sentence. Also, this sentence doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense (why should he ask if Luke has felt his struggle with the dark side? And what does that even mean, to “feel” a “struggle”?).

In any case, even if all of this is true, I will still probably love the movie. I like where these rumors are going.

  • Braden Gunn

If this proves to be true, then I have a new favourite Star Wars movie, sounds freaking amazing xD

    • Bunk Clips

I feel the same way! The more spoilers I hear; the more Disney stock I purchase.

  • “JJ & Kasden are desperate to move away from making the galaxy seem too small as the prequals did”

And yet, everybody’s related to somebody else, and the movie seems to bend over backwards to keep the status quo from the last trilogy?

  • Mach1Mike

OK. All this sounds awesome. My concern is that it’s way too much information. How can all this fit into 1 movie and still leave room for character and plot development?

  • Obi Truth

Pure fanboy BS. Speculation drawn from the leaked art and the trailer. Nothing of any real substance or truth.

  • JohnG

Some interesting elements here and there but on the whole it sounds like overwrought (and overstuffed) Timothy Zahn-inspired fan fiction. The supposed various plot threads and characters suggest that the story lacks the clean narrative through line of the OT. Time will tell….

  • Hector Lizard

I first didn’t know what to think of the Adam Driver/Kylo Ren thing. I had thought for long that Andy Serkis was playing Kylo Ren. But it now kind of makes sense : Driver is Ren, and Serkis is actually the dead Sith Lord in the tomb, as we learn with the sentence from the trailer – (you’ve failed, Skywalker) HAVE YOU FELT IT? (your struggle with) THE DARK SIDE… AND THE LIGHT.

Well, then of course, this could be a hoax built off piecing together recent rumors plus a few guesses. It is interesting to note that almost all recent rumors make an appearance in this story.

Anyway I kind of want to believe it.

  • Turd Ferguson’s Doggy

Still nothing on Artoo or Threepio.

  • Oscar Nigma

  • burgerhicks80

starting to wonder if there is too much going on in this movie to pull it off. I’m going in skeptical but I’m really looking forward to a script leak even if its an early draft to quell some of my worse fears.

  • Jay

Does Boba Fett make an appearance?

  • Nannoc Nannoc

Seems like all of the old rumors are coming to fruition

  • Brian

Regardless of how professionally this is written; regardless as how true this is; it sounds absolutely awesome. If this is a hoax this guy took the existing rumors and weaves them into a super engaging tale. The biggest head scratcher for me is Leia’s apparently small role; especially considering the idea that Han will die. It just seems weird that she wouldn’t be along for these adventures. The whole Gleeson arc seems odd as well (not just here, but the rumors in general) but it may just be typical Abrams plot twist stuff; have this apparently evil Imperial turn out to be not only a double agent but a Skywalker! We’ll see.

  • Kylo Ren

    Sounds pretty legit to me

  • “What lies in this tomb is an Ancient Sith Lord who may turn out to be Darth Plagues The Wise ”

    Please be true :O

    • Bradley B.

I would prefer it to be Darth Revan. He did say “Ancient.” Plagues trained Sidious, I don’t think that’s enough of a passage of time to be considered ancient.

  • El Abraham

Well, if it comes out like this, it will be fucking awesome!

  • Hmmm… Questionable to say the least, but… this bit caught my attention.

“we are shown his robotic hand, sans glove, with a burn mark exposing the robotic components”

The way he says this stuff about Lukes hand make it seem like he thinks its a new detail… The fact that he doesn’t connect it with Lukes previous injury in ROTJ makes me think it is legitimate in some sense.

Of course he could just be stringing together known details.

Interesting as they seem consistent with others, but that’s just it – are they just rehashing what’s been out there if you hunt for it? Time will tell. Even if, let’s say half of it’s accurate, I’m digging where JJ & Co. are taking it.

I’ve seen these leaks, with the same phrasing, in other places- particularly the giant 4chan “Spoiler Man” thread. Some of this stuff is new, like the detailed descriptions of characters at the Smuggler’s Den and the details of Luke’s reintroduction. But when you consider all of the typos, I have to think this is a fake, even if 50% of it might be real.

No mention of a super weapon that detects Jedi…is that rumour still in play?

  • Drool Bear

I take this all with skepticism but if found to be true, omg, this is an incredible story arc they are presenting. Not so simple cut and dry as most movies are today. Perhaps a bit too complex for this type of genre but welcome in my neck of the woods. My question though is about the Millennium Falcon and the Carousel. Are they the same ship? Are they two different but similar ships? I want more details about this Carousel spacecraft.

Look at Empire (ep:5), wasn’t that complex? yet it’s revered as the best one out of all of them so far? Complex can be for better or worse. I’m thinking better 🙂

Hey, I came here for some rumors. Not the next Star Wars novel.

    Ha! Ha! Ha!
