I think Rebels has way more heart and a much better straightforward narrative than Clone Wars. In alot of ways its the essence of what made the original so compelling. The scenes where Ezra draws upon the force with unguided recklessness are the best. Neither Ezra or Kanan will ever attain the mastery of the old Jedi Order, and its this post-apocalyptic reminiscence approach that opens the opportunity for great new stories.

Agreed. Clone Wars was often about animation “wow” moments in battle scenes. Rebels is afar more character driven. IMO character driven series are always better.

I’ve tried watching this show so many times. I just find the references to the movies to be insufferable. The show really feels like it’s lacking original ideas. It has the occasional moment, but overall I find it very disappointing.

What is it with the airing of this show? Why aren’t we getting an episode every week? Makes watching it kinda hard with continuity. By the time the next new episode airs, you forgot what you saw in the previous one.

Yeah, was going to say the exact same thing. What’s with the week off? And Call to Action had a week off before that. And yet the first half of the season was mostly weekly. It’s getting really annoying.

    • It has been stop and start since Christmas, I think season 2 is going to be very set in stone when it comes to scheduling though. 🙂
