Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars: Rogue One is still a ways away. I’ve been making the rounds, shaking hands, kissing babies, washing people’s cars, and trying to get anything I can about this movie. We know very little at this point. But things are starting to trickle in:
- Rogue One “still has a few months before it goes in front of cameras,” according to several sources.
- Felicity Jones is the main character (no duh).
- Aaron Paul isn’t out… yet. One sources says he is in, others aren’t so sure.
- The other role is the companion character of Jones.
- Paul is up for the “companion” character.
- It heavily involves an agricultural planet.
- Ben Mendelsohn is most likely playing “The Scientist.”
- The Death Star plans are still involved.
- The scientist knows the Death Star is wrong.
- Geonosians are responsible for the prototype and construction; nothing has been retconned.
Hopefully when “Los Alamos” (now known as Star Wars: Rogue One) gets filming we can figure out if this information is adding up.
