Review: Think Geek’s Darth Vader toaster is toast-die-for!

Admittedly I’m not the biggest fan of toast (or very good at puns). I mainly use it as a means to enjoy way more unhealthy things like peanut butter. Having said that, if anything was going to make me want to eat toast more, it’s toast that says Star Wars right on it.

That’s exactly what you’re getting with Think Geek’s Star Wars Darth Vader toaster.

Think Geek was kind enough to send us a toaster to try out for ourselves, and I must say it’s actually one of the best toasters I’ve ever owned. And I’m not just saying that because it’s Star Wars.

The mechanics of the toaster itself are simple and easy to use. Big openings for toast and bagels, an easy adjustment dial, lever, and cancel button. It’s got everything you need in a toaster without any unnecessary extra buttons. I also found that the various adjustments from light to dark toast are accurate.

My son and I had fun trying out this toaster and I can honestly say it’s one of the more fun Star Wars pieces in my home. It might be a little goofy to have a toaster in the shape of Darth Vader’s (slightly mutilated) helmet, but is anyone not going to think that’s cool when they see it on your kitchen counter? My only criticism of the toaster is that the design could be ever so slightly better. The top of Vader’s helmet being lopped off is kinda silly looking, but hey, it has to be functional as well.

At $49.99 the toaster is priced perfect for holiday season or a housewarming gift!
