E3 Expo: Disney Infinity 3.0 Rise Against the Empire Trailer and…Boba Fett Exclusive!

Yesterday, during Sony’s press conference at the E3 Expo, Disney Infinity revealed that Sony Playstation will have an exclusive Boba Fett figure available through the holidays (after which he will likely be available generally). This is a big get for Sony to boost its holiday sales of the PS4. While Xbox will likely get Boba in 2016, everyone knows that holiday sales are big, and many consumers are on the fence when deciding to get a PS4 or an Xbox One. It’s these little exclusives that can tilt a consumer’s wallet in one direction over the other. In particular here, if a parent is undecided on either console (or frankly even if he/she is leaning towards an Xbox One), a child’s excitement about the option to play as Boba Fett during the holiday break can easily make the decision for the parent. Plus, who doesn’t want to play as Boba Fett while hanging out with family over the holidays?

Check out the figure and screen shots below:

People wonder why Boba Fett is so popular. There could be a variety of reasons why Star Wars fans love Boba Fett. But the bottom line is that HE LOOKS AWESOME. Look at that figure! That armor. That helmet. Those colors. The jetpack. He’s just an incredibly cool-looking character and this figure captures his essence well. I can’t wait to get my hands on this thing!

In addition to the exclusive Boba, Disney Infinity also released a trailer for the OT based “Rise Against the Empire” play set:

Aaahhh the OT feels! More information in the press release below. The MSW team is live at E3 Expo this week so stay tuned for more!
