Is Wicket in Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

Is Wicket in Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Usually that would be a dumb question.

It seems unlikely we would see Wicket or any of his Ewok tribe in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If I were to bet on it, I would have bet against it. Until today. I’m still hesitant Warwick Davis is actually playing Wicket again, but it is possible based on this finding.

As you may know, Daisy Ridley and Kathleen Kennedy did a press tour of Japan recently. The press book has a very interesting listing for Warwick Davis:

Now, there’s a chance everyone of the actors needed a character name and they just went with Davis’ most famous character after Wald, companion of Kitster in The Phantom Menace. However, we had heard about some art depicting a not-so-happy ending for the Endor natives when the First Order goes to the planet to get the Darth Vader mask years before The Force Awakens. Maybe we will see Wicket walking around the Resistance base? I’m all for it. It is nuts and unlikely, but I’m down with that. After all, if the First Order kills the Ewoks, Wicket will need vengeance!

In a few months we’ll either see the little dude running around causing mayhem or we’ll look back and laugh at the notion an Ewok will be on the big screen in 2015.
