Well, today is June 18th. That means there is only six months to go until Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We stand on the precipice of San Diego Comic Con 2015 (where the rumor is there’s going to be a full-sized Falcon and walk-in experience) and D23. Both of those events are going to likely change the way we look at the next film in few months leading up to the release. We’ve seen a lot, we’ve heard a lot, and we still gotta lot to learn!
Back when it was announced that there would be a sequel trilogy, I wondered if the ramp up to the first film would be as fun as it was for The Phantom Menace and the prequel trilogy itself. With six months to go the answer is already a resounding “yes.” I think this has been the most fun era for Star Wars so far and hopefully that fun continues for Rian Johnson’s installment and Rogue One.
I’m looking forward to the journey to The Force Awakens with all our friends around these parts. I also look forward to fighting with you all in The Battle of Jakku this December in Star Wars: Battlefront. The Star Wars community can be the best from any fandom and I’m looking forward to the next six months more than ever!
