Some information has hit Twitter this morning about Riz Ahmed’s character in Gareth Edwards’ upcoming Rogue One. Some of this is possibly conflicting, but let’s get into it.
BBC journalist Lizo Mzimba has this tweet currently up regarding Riz Ahmed’s character:
Riz Ahmed's character in @StarWars: Rogue One is called 'Bodhi Rook' via his agent's official website https://t.co/TspWNoX0XL

Here’s what it says on the agent’s site:
A bit earlier, our friends at Star Wars Underworld reported that the tweet from Lizo Mzimba actually showed a screenshot of Ahmed’s Spotlight UK CV. Mzimba likely just changed his tweet due to the fact that actors’ Spotlight CVs are not available for everyone to see.
So Bohdi Rook appears to be the first character name for Rogue One. It’s a cool name. I like it, and I like the character’s look. We still know so little about this film, so let’s hope marketing kicks into high gear after The Force Awakens premiere.
