A map of the Star Wars galaxy has hit the Internet. This map shows the position of the Starkiller base. Pete Morrison posted this tweet showing the location of Ilum on an older map and the emergence of the Starkiller location on the newer map. MakingStarWars.net’s Pete Morrison and Josh Outred where on it:

Dantooine, Ord Mantell and Ilum form a triangle. Starkiller Base fits into Ilum's spot rather nicely on both old and new maps

Look at the relative location and distance between Ord Mantell (L7) and Ilum & Starkiller Base origin point (G7) pic.twitter.com/s7pRhLiZlW

If the Starkiller Base has been built into Ilum itself it explains a lot of things. For the last year, the novels like Tarkin have made points out of the Death Star using a giant Kyber crystal to power its superlaser. With that in mind, perhaps the planet’s core is what is being use to power the Starkiller weapon itself we saw test firing today in a new TV spot.
I am thankful for @JOutred and his Ilum theory #Starkiller #Thanksgiving pic.twitter.com/K0l1dfIjoi

I think this is pretty telling and it makes a lot of sense. We’ll know soon enough!
