Marvel Comics Announces Star Wars: Poe Dameron Series!

Huge news regarding Poe Dameron from Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Marvel has announced a ongoing comic book series featuring Poe that will start in April 2016. USA Today has the synopsis of the story, as well as interviews with the writers. Check out the synopsis:

“The series will dig into Poe’s status as the top X-wing fighter jockey for General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and leader of a squadron with an important mission. But the evil First Order also has a goal of finding Luke, and a new villain from the organization is introduced as Poe’s chief nemesis.”

They also reveal that we will see some of the new X-wing pilots, as well as BB-8, in this new comic. I’m very happy that Marvel is taking this opportunity to flesh out some more stories of these characters. I’m hoping we see a Ben Solo/Luke Skywalker story, though that’ll probably be saved for Star Wars: Episode VIII. I’m assuming Rey and Finn comics are coming soon as well.
