We finally get a chance to hear a snippet of Michael Giacchino’s score for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. EW has a video that gives us a glimpse of director Gareth Edwards stopping by the recording sessions and offering some words of thanks and encouragement to the orchestra and to the composer.
The Brez writes:
You’ll hear samples from two songs: “Her Path Is Clear,” which is most likely a Jyn Erso theme, and “Approach to Eadu,” which references the storm-drenched planet the Rebel spies visit.
I really like the music they’re showing us. It feels like Star Wars music. It is well done. If I took the Pepsi challenge, I think I would know it wasn’t Williams but I’m not super confident I would get it right. So in the other words, that’s some Star Wars–sounding music.
A tracklist that hit the internet yesterday doesn’t seem to feature the same title listings. However, soundtracks may edit pieces of music which can see pieces of music consolidated to fit on a 74-minute CD. The tracks might not be on the soundtrack; tracks can be retitled or the listing was just incorrect.
Head over to EW and listen to the tracks in their video.
