“The Wire” star Michael K. Williams to join Han Solo cast in key role

Variety is reporting that The Wire and Boardwalk Empire star Michael K. Williams is in final talks to join the yet untitled Han Solo stand-alone film due out next spring.

According to Variety, details about Williams’ role are yet unknown. I have to say this cast is shaping up to be incredible. I’m a very big fan of Williams and he’s clearly been one of the standout actors of the past decade. I’m really happy for him and I can’t wait to learn more about his part! If you haven’t had a chance yet, check out Williams (and Rogue One’s Riz Ahmed) in the incredible HBO series The Night Of. You won’t regret it.

The Han Solo film will hit theaters May 25th, 2018.
