Art Director Paul Inglis is joining the Star Wars: Episode IX team!

OmegaUnderground.com is reporting that art director Paul Inglis is joining J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm for Star Wars: Episode IX. Inglis is known for his work on Blade Runner 2049 and Game of Thrones. This is very good news and if it means anything at all it means the ninth Star Wars films is not going to suddenly become ugly.

Paul Inglis has been hired as the lead supervising art director on the film and it will be his first crack at Star Wars.

His previous credits include Skyfall, Blade Runner 2049, Game of Thrones, PrometheusMission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and Children of Men.

Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to begin filming this summer. I’m glad I finally have an excuse to watch Blade Runner 2049, which I magically haven’t seen yet. But I’ve seen his other films and I’m certainly pleased with this news.
