Marvel Creator Stan Lee Passes Away At Age 95

Today we lost a legend. Stan “the man” Lee passed away today at the age of 95. Most of you should know who he is but if not, he is the creator of Marvel Comics. Lee created characters such as Spider-Man, Black Panther, the Avengers, and so many more iconic heroes and villains.

Now this is a Star Wars website, and some may not know this, but according to many, the original Star Wars Marvel comic is what saved the company from bankruptcy. Lee was initially going to decline to make the comic adaptation of the film, but when he found out Alec Guinness was in it, he was much more interested. Roy Thomas (writer of the comic adaption of A New Hope) talked Stan into it and Marvel became the home of Star Wars comics and have since returned to Marvel in 2014. Lee has impacted so many lives with his work. I am a huge Marvel fan and will always be very appreciative of Stan. Rest in peace, Stan the man.
