Deborah Chow Directing The Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars Series!

StarWars.Com announced this morning that Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian) will be directing the upcoming Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor!

Kathleen Kennedy commented on the announcement:

“We really wanted to select a director who is able to explore both the quiet determination and rich mystique of Obi-Wan in a way that folds seamlessly into the Star Wars saga. Based on her phenomenal work developing our characters in The Mandalorian, I’m absolutely confident Deborah is the right director to tell this story.”

Not only was Chow announced to be the director of the series, but the writer was also announced. The series will be written by Hossein Amini (The Alienist, Drive). It sounds like Chow will be directing the whole series as well as Amini writing all of it. Ewan McGregor is also acting as executive producer on the show. Kenobi is starting to ramp up now! Stay tuned for more Disney+ Star Wars news in the future.
