Wear Masks Outside!
Han Solo was wrong when he said “Take off that mask. You don’t need it.” Right now, we all need to be a little Kylo and cover our faces because of COVID-19. If you don’t have a mask or you need some, Brandon (RN/Kessel Toy Run) found this Etsy Shop making reusable ones out of various Star Wars fabrics. The masks are to the CDC guidelines to the best of my knowledge. If you have any medical-grade ones, give any unused medical-grade masks to any medical professional friends you may have because they need them the most.
I just purchased from this seller for the first time. As of this writing, the seller is offering free shipping on $35 orders and above. This is a fun way to ride this out, hopefully as healthy as possible.
I may be overthinking things but when I enter a store with a mask on, it makes the clerk a little nervous. I was robbed when I worked at a convenience store as a teenager. I kind of feel like a mask with a print makes you less intimidating to those behind the register, as if you wanted to blend in and do anything horrible, you probably wouldn’t wear a Star Wars mask unless you’re like the Wet Bandits and want a calling card.

Make Your Own and Protect Yourself!
Eric Denton shared some patterns with me to make your own masks too. If you cannot afford to throw down on masks or have the time to make your own this pattern Eric sent me will also allow you to get started on that now. You could also sacrifice some Star Wars material from shirts or sheets. Any protection is better than no protection after all.
The important thing is that you wear a mask outside. It doesn’t have to have a Star Wars print. You have to protect others as well as yourself. I get the supplies for my family and when I’m out I see people that just don’t give a shit and it is infuriating. Be safe and do your best to keep everyone safe around you. Don’t take any shortcuts.
