Today on The Making Star Wars Show, I revealed a really cool spoiler from Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. To protect my sources I cannot say as much as I would like at the moment. That said, I’m sure many of you will appreciate the confirmation of any morsel or nugget from Kenobi. While the majority of what I have seen from the series has taken place on Tatooine, I can almost confirm he goes off-world in it too.
In the series, Obi-Wan will fight at least one inquisitor. Lightsabers will clash and we will see Kenobi up against The Inquisitorius in at least an episode of the limited series. Will this vein run throughout many episodes or just occur in a single story? That I do not know for certain at this time and it would be conjecture on my part to state any further. But take it from me, empirically, the Imperial Inquisition is coming for old(ish) Ben.
In Star Wars Rebels we saw the Eighth Brother, Seventh Sister, the Fifth Brother, and the Grand Inquisitor. I wish I could confirm who it was or if it was a new one we haven’t met before. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order also had the Second and Ninth Sister. There have been as many as twelve in the canon, to the best of my knowledge.
Because of the armor and uniform lightsaber design, I cannot even begin to guess which one it was, or if it is not entirely new inquisitors altogether. Just to be open, these might be the equivalent of Stormtroopers for the series or he might just deal with one a few times. I apologize for the ambiguity but that is where this story is at right now.
As the story goes, Emperor Palpatine kept close tabs on Jedi with selfish dispoistions. Those Jedi were the ones turned over to the Inquisitorious program in the Empire. These former Jedi then hunt Jedi survivors and up and comers like Ezra Bridger. That said, Kenobi was a rockstar in their former order so that could potentially lead to some interesting dialog exchanges if there’s recognition.
Just please, by the power of Mortis, no helicopter sabering Kenobi.
