The first photo of the real Indiana Jones from Indiana Jones 5 has hit the internet. IJ Adventures Outpost posted the really great scoop just a few moments ago. That might be Harrison Ford with the Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall but it is a little hard to say for sure with the masks on.
Indy can mask up, but why can’t your crazy uncle?
Over the past few days we have seen Indy on a motorcycle. The Indy in question appears to be younger. It is important to note that we have seen Nazi trains and motorcycles along with tanks and so on. So it seems to be the safe assumption that Indy 5 will have the first twenty minutes set during World War II and then we will jump to the Indy sometime with in the twenty year aftermath of the war.
The website ttheilluminerdi.com has written the film involves the space race. They say:
According to our sources, Mads Mikkelsen will be playing the villain in this new installment of Indiana Jones. His character is described to us as a Nazi scientist enlisted into NASA by the United States government to work on the space agency’s moon landing initiative.
If the report is entirely accurate, Mads is the villain as assumed and will likely play into the opening of the film. Does that mean we will see a de-aged Mads as well?
They go onto say:
Shaunette Renee Wilson will be playing Mads Mikkelsen’s villain’s CIA handler responsible for “babysitting” the Nazi scientist turned NASA recruit. There will also be a female villain, “an evil and brutal killer” who will work with Mads Mikkelsen’s character. According to our sources, Scarlett Johansson actually passed on this role previously.
I have a hard time imagining Phoebe Waller-Bridge playing the killer character.
But the we have it, we saw Indy. There’s information moving about the picture. I can’t wait to see and hear more! Back in the day, I wrote a piece about what I had heard about the film involving a missing nazi gold train. That scoop was shot down as having been in Kasdan’s script. Did I get some information that was from a latter script? I don’t know. But seeing a nazi train makes me scratch my head a baby bit.
Update: A photo of the castle set on fire has also hit the internet.
